Creature From the Black Lagoon (1954)

Let's talk about one of the tricks of the trade press. The formula for the CMYK printing color black – Deep Rich Black.

"Why is the color black on my business card, flyer, brochure or postcard a gray and black right? "I get tons of customers. Many graphics artist not to provide this information, hoping to customers return because their print products have been the Blackest. By disclosing this information to my clients, so far, they are so grateful that they return to call for bids on other graphic products. People do not know what you said to them, remember them more, how you made them feel. My clients know they have good feel for the best advice to serve their customers. After all, it's all about product satisfaction.

Deep, rich, black ink is a mixture of black, 100% K, with additional CMY ink values. This results in a darker tone than black ink. If you print black alone as 100% K, the resulting black may not be as dark as you want.
The formula for the CMYK printing color black – Deep Rich Black is C60 M40 Y40 K100.
This formula was taken from 3 of the top printers in the U.S..

Almost any quality printer will tell you this, but of course you ask. Some printers have different formulas for CMYK values – this is ok. Anywhere close to the value you get above a deep rich black better than the use of naked black K100% alone.
