Wilton Poor Tale developed the aluminum alloy based material that they called Armenian Tale combination of 'art' and 'metal'. This metal could be cast and worked at hand.
Focus the Wilton company was producing theme cooking and serving ware, and the occasional new material. This was not a problem if U.S. Food & Drug Administration had approved the food service equipment.
The range of topics were varied, and include Antique, Natural, Classic, Americana and art. In this article we look at products with themes of different holidays.
Christmas
The 12 Days of Christmas series was from Christmas tree ornaments, depicting Partridge to the Drummers, one each year. While 1978 saw the Partridge, the last in 1989 showed the Drummers. These are no longer produced.
Wilton Poor Tale has continued with the introduction of other collectible items such as plates and serving pieces, like plates, dinner plates, cups and bowls every Christmas season. Traditional Christmas songs, street scenes, angels and other religious imagery such decorated articles.
Christmas tree motifs, with alternating green and red, were the subject of a festive Christmas service series one cup and a crest mug with a ceramic insert included. A more formal alternative to the tree series was awarded the star tree in an oval signet, accentuated in red.
The White Holly series three boards, including a bottle of wine coaster, a coaster and had a cup decorative rim motif and was accented in white.
The Christmas series are collectables and heirlooms, and can be used for the presentation of food on the table, or for display on the wall.
Halloween
A dancing skeleton dancing is the theme of the Halloween season Skelly series of products including an oval tray, large round bowl, mat, large round tray and bottle of wine coaster.
Easter Collection
The Easter collection combines the scenes of spring and the traditional celebrations for Easter.
The collection includes a bunny rabbit egg tray and bread tray picture of a rabbit in chicken egg tray and brush with a hen on her eggs in the middle.
Wilton Poor Tale Holiday Range
Though probably not as extensive as many other subjects, including art and Americana, do holiday Wilton Poor Tale collections actually celebrate the spirit of the holidays. The products are collectibles and useful items that can last a lifetime.
The range is complemented by holiday consumption Grill potatoes that can be used for both grilling and serving. The grill range includes trays, sauce pots, bowls, platter, grill, trivet and a vegetable griller.
